    Gazpromneft-Aero and IATA co-host the 10th international training on jet fuel supply

    Gazpromneft-Aero, the jet fuel business operator of Gazprom Neft, co-hosted the 10th international training for experts in airport jet fuel supply together with IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP). The training took place in Novosibirsk on 21-25 August.

    Gazpromneft-Aero’s fueling facility in the Tolmachevo International Airport is one of the six sites in the world approved by the IFQP for training on international standards of jet fuel quality control and aircraft fueling. Since 2008, 150 experts from Russian and international companies have participated in this annual training. This year’s attendees included representatives from Qatar Airways, Flydubai, Air Seychelles, Air Berlin, AirBridgeCargo, Aeroflot, S7, UTair, Toshkent Xalqaro Aeroporti.

    Gazpromneft-Aero currently has the largest proprietary fueling network in Russia comprising of eight fueling facilities, which comply with IFQP highest quality standards for jet fuel supply and provide a full range of aircraft fueling services. Since 2008, the company has invested more than RUB 20 billion in upgrading and developing the jet fuel infrastructure of domestic airports.

    Vladimir Egorov, General Director of Gazpromneft-Aero, said: “The annual training in Novosibirsk allows representatives from the Russian airlines to get a unique, hands-on experience according to the international IFQP standards. Following the cancellation of mandatory state certification of fueling facilities at Russian airports, we view the implementation of international jet fuel quality standards in Russia as a priority for our company. We will continue to develop our strategic partnership with IATA to create and implement modern commercial and production solutions in the field of jet fuel supply.”

    Peter Westphal, representative of the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP), said: “In Novosibirsk, we have trained jet fuel supply experts from dozens of countries over a decade through our partnership with Gazpromneft-Aero. All the training participants are technical experts; their cooperation is focused on a common result, which is to ensure the application of unified aircraft fueling standards all over the world. Thanks to Gazpromneft-Aero, we are implementing our plans in Russia, which will undoubtedly increase operational efficiency for airlines and suppliers.”
